Kohai LIFE is geared to­wards those aged 18 years and older who wish to con­tinue learn­ing and de­vel­op­ing func­tional aca­demic, life and so­cial skills while hav­ing fun in small groups. Run­ning 50 weeks per year, par­tic­i­pants can choose to at­tend part-time or full-time. Themed pro­gram­ming in­cludes cook­ing, gro­cery shop­ping, tak­ing the TTC, em­ploy­ment skills, work place­ments, so­cial ac­tiv­i­ties and fit­ness. At Kohai, we’ve been work­ing with in­di­vid­u­als with spe­cial needs and learn­ing chal­lenges for over 45 years us­ing a be­haviourist ap­proach and small group model. In this new life skill de­vel­op­ment pro­gramme, we’re pleased to of­fer ex­panded day­time, evening and sum­mer pro­gram­ming for adults to en­cour­age dy­namic par­tic­i­pa­tion in ac­tiv­i­ties with peers and well as in the wider com­mu­nity.
