FATAL FLAWS: Two showings of Fatal Flaws - Legalizing Assisted Death, a film by Kevin Dunn, at the Father Langan Parish Centre in Room 5, 51 Venison Street West (Rolph Street). Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 10:45 a.m. What are the long-term effects of these laws on society? Should we be giving medical professionals the legal right to end their patients’ lives?

PORT BURWELL CRAFT AND BAkE SALE: Port Burwell Legion is having a Craft and Bake Sale on Saturday Dec. 8, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. All types of local crafts. Bake Table and Straw Draw. Food available. Admission free, but a donation of a canned good would be appreciated for the local food bank. BREAkFAST WITH SANTA: Tillsonburg Kinette’s annual Breakfast With Santa is Saturday, Dec. 8, 8-11 a.m. at the Tillsonburg Community Centre Lions Auditorium. Cost is $5 (2 pancakes, 2 sausages, juice and coffee). Santa Claus will there for a photo op and give out candy canes. We will have a fun photo booth (free). There is also a free colouring contest with prizes for different ages groups.

ST. PAUL’S CANTATA: Sunday, Dec. 16, at 10:30 a.m., St. Paul’s United Church, 88 Bidwell, presents the cantata 2,000 Decembers Ago. At 2:30 p.m., David Ramer will sing some of his favourites and the choir will again perform the cantata. Musical director and accompanist is Shelley Vermeersch. Freewill donations would be appreciated.
AN EvENING WITH CHARLES DICkENS: There’s nothing like a ‘Carol Sing’ and the Dickens classic ‘A Christmas Carol’ to put one in the Holiday Spirit. Experience an old world Christmas at St. John’s Anglican Church, Tillsonburg, on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. Enjoy carol singing in the church led by St. John’s Choir; then listen to a reading of ‘A Christmas Carol’, with Stephen Bourne as Charles Dickens. Following the reading, enjoy Yuletide treats in the parish hall. Tickets $10 per person or $25 for a family of three or more, available at Coward Pharmacy, 165 Broadway or at St. John’s Church office (519-842-5573). Proceeds will go to those in need of toys and food at Christmas.
TURkEY DINNER: Wimpys Diner is spreading Christmas Cheer! Join us Monday, Dec. 17 for a FREE Turkey dinner buffet style. The dinner will take place from 4-6 p.m or as long as quantity lasts. First come first serve, we hope to see you there!
