Men sentenced in Parksville bar-brawl death
Three men convicted of manslaughter in connection with the beating death of a man outside a Parksville bar have been handed sentences ranging from two to three years.
Earlier this week, in B.C. Supreme Court in Nanaimo, Donald Richard Clarke, 30, was sentenced to three years and two months in prison. Paul Philip Rosborough, 28, was sentenced to three years. Adam Gerald Ball, 24 was sentenced to two years less one day but allowed to serve the sentence in the community.
All three men were convicted of manslaughter for killing Brad Johnston, 24, in a 2005 fight outside a bar in Parksville.
Court heard Johnston’s brother exchanged words inside the bar with friends of the convicted men. Outside the bar the three, accompanied by other friends, attacked the two men. Johnston died as a result of blunt force trauma.
