Waterslide would be an asset

Over the last several weeks, several neighbours and I have circulated petitions throughout North Saanich and the Peninsula in support of the renovations at Panorama.

The petitions requested that the waterslide go ahead as planned, with no reduction in height.

Although it would appear that we have lost, on a personal level the experience has been very positive.

We have met hundreds of like-minded people who believe progressive change is needed in North Saanich.

Instead of being against something, we chose to be for something. and to support a project that allowed accessibility to people who live with disabilities, created an incentive for young families to consider North Saanich when they purchase their homes and provided improved facilities for all Peninsula residents.

The public good would have been served by this project. Make no mistake — a vote against the variance was a vote against the waterslide. Gene Johnson North Saanich
