Malahat crash closure far too long

It is beyond comprehension how it can take in excess of six hours, necessitating the total closing of a highway, to investigate an accident, no matter how serious. I was a police officer for 30 years and was aware of some horrific automobile accidents. I cannot recall any that caused the closure of a highway for this length of time. Surely, especially, on a highway such as the Malahat where there is no other access, someone should be looking into the reasons for this, and some other solutions. David T. Brown Fanny Bay
