CPR building perfect for ferry gateway

Re: “CPR building could live again as ferry terminal,” Oct. 30.

Finally we may be coming close to the solution that makes the most practical, emotional, historical and economic sense for the CPR Steamship Terminal building.

Our harbour gateway is an embarrassment. This magnificent structure was built for the purpose. The gateway, with appropriate associated businesses and attractions, makes good economic sense.

While many of the other attractions proposed have great merit, none can compare with the practicality, public good and (properly executed) international image potential of this facility. Michael Fox Colwood
