Bills come out big winners in Canada

TORONTO— The National Football League said on Monday it will let the fans decide whether the Buffalo Bills delivered more than a win during their annual trip north to Canada to play a regular sea- son game.

On the scoreboard, Sunday’s 23-0 rout of the Washington Redskins was a massive success for the Bills team, but on the streets surrounding the Rogers Centre it was not so easy to determine if NFL fans were also big winners.

Looking for a financial boost, the small-market Bills signed a five-year, $78-million deal with Toronto-based Rogers Communications in 2008 to play five regular season games and three exhibition contests at Toronto’s Rogers Centre.
