Clark and Bond to host reception for heroes of Richmond air crash


Premier Christy Clark and Solicitor General Shirley Bond are to hold a reception at the legislatur­e for those who rescued the passengers and pilots of Thunderbir­d Air Flight 204 after it crashed in Richmond last Thursday.

The aircraft, with seven passengers, crashed on Russ Baker Way. Pilot Luc Fortin died and co- pilot Matt Robic suffered burns to 80 per cent of his body. All seven passengers on board, who were mostly executives of Vancouver companies, suffered injuries. Sev- eral remain in hospital. Lions Internatio­nal wants to award its Medal of Merit to all those who pulled passengers from the wreckage.
