New condos under helicopter flight path

Re: “View Royal approves village project,” Aug. 1.

I notice that the development proposed for the corner of Helmcken Road and Watkiss Way includes residential condos.

I hope that the developer has contacted Transport Canada about the height restrictions due to the medical-evacuation helicopters that will land at the hospital. I also hope that the developer advises the purchasers of the condos that helicopters will be flying over their heads at all times of the day or night.

These flights are for medical emergencies, and the helipad was there before the condos, so the future residents should not complain. Besides, they might need a mercy flight some day. Lucy Cuthill Victoria
