B.C. man dies in Alberta after trying to stop fleeing man

GRANDE PRAIRIE, Alta. — RCMP said a 35-year-old man from Abbotsford is dead after he tried to grab someone who was interfering with his vehicle outside a Grande Prairie, Alta., hardware store.

Police said the man was leaving the store on Saturday when he confronted the male suspect. He was severely injured as he tried to stop him from fleeing in another vehicle. The man died after being airlifted to Edmonton for treatment. His name has not been released.

Police are still looking for a suspect.
