Recommendations would help park

Julian Anderson, a member of the Friends of Cuthbert Holmes Park, said enhanced protections recommended by Saanich council to the Ministry of Transportation would help reduce the environmental impact of the McKenzie interchange on the park.

Incorrect information was included in an A2 article on May 12.

Anderson also said that Cuthbert Holmes is intact enough to host a large colony of great blue herons, although none are currently in residence.
