Governments need to end tent-city lawlessness

-

Re: “Tent city taps into drinking water, will get flush toilets,” May 14.

What is really needed at the tent city is a bulldozer to clean up the mess, rather than running water and flush toilets.

As much as I think the homeless need shelter and care, it is the law-abiding neighbours that I feel for, and the city of Victoria and the government of B.C. need to step up to the plate and get this handled, sooner than later.

It’s hard to believe that Victoria is No. 3 in luxury homes and still has this mess in the middle of downtown. The government has my support to bring in the bulldozers now and end this lawlessness. Paul Ellegood Courtenay
