Summer camps teach bike safety and superhero skills

-

Set your child on the path to a lifelong love of riding! From training wheels to trails, Pedalheads ® has safe, fun and challenging bike camps for children aged three to 12. Since 1995 over 200,000 children have learned to ride using the Pedalheads ® method. With small classes and exceptional instructors, we teach beginners right up to competent riders the skills they need to succeed on the trails and the streets.

Choose between morning camps (9:30 a.m. to noon), afternoon camps (1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.), or all-day camps (9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at select locations). We also offer private lessons. Before and after care is available for all-day camps.

Heroheads

Heroheads is a superhero-themed camp that focuses on the development of physical skills for children ages four to eight. The program is designed to allow children the opportunity to practice the Heroheads Super 7 Skills, which are based off of the Long Term Athlete Development Model (LTAD): locomotion (run, jump, skip and climb); agility; throwing; catching, balance; kicking; and hand-eye coordination.

Kids participate in a variety of skills, drills, obstacle courses, and games to build their superpowers. Skills are broken down into manageable chunks, with a variety of drills and activities. The focus is on building excitement for the daily events.

On the last day of camp, kids put their superpowers to the test on the Super 7 Challenge and Heroheads Rescue Race, where at the conclusion, each child receives their very own superhero cape and mask.
