Thanks to those who served during storm

Re: “Victoria escapes knockout blow,” Oct. 16.

A grateful thank you to the B.C. Hydro line repair crews and private contractors who worked so hard and efficiently to restore electrical power when it was disrupted by storm damage, and to the firefighters and police departments who were out there, too, keeping people safe.

It was not as bad as it might have been but these brave souls would have been out there anyway doing their public service jobs. We are lucky to have them.
