Bus success no indicator of train service failure

Re: “‘Langtoria’ commuter bus launch has 4 riders, officials still hopeful,” Oct. 18.

It is false reasoning for Langford Mayor Stew Young to claim if he can’t fill one luxury bus, a train from Langford to Victoria and back wouldn’t be viable.

Nonsense! Because people won’t pay $115.50 a month to imbibe “free” coffee, use “free” Wi-Fi and read a “free” newspaper, does not mean they wouldn’t happily pay less a month for a train ride without those accoutrements.
