Call CRD to account on sewage

Re: “Will the sewage-treatment project go over budget?” comment, Feb. 22. Dr. Shaun Peck’s commentary was a salutary reminder of the many pitfalls and uncertainties still surrounding this project. As many taxpayers still don’t appreciate the extent to which their taxes will rise to pay for this project, it is incumbent on the Capital Regional District to provide us with updated details of the additional minimum tax burden we are going to have to absorb.

Perhaps once taxpayers have this information, they will call the CRD directors to account and bring them to their senses before it is too late. To date they have been flying in the face of all scientific reason. David R. Cohen Victoria
