Trump is just one of many leaders

Donald Trump has been the president of the United States for just over a month, and it seems he has already garnered more local and regional headlines than our combined Greater Victoria sewagetreatment fiasco and the Johnson Street Bridge project have, stretched out over a whole wretched decade. Interesting.

During my lifetime, I have experienced the leadership of 14 prime ministers, the rule of two kings and one queen, observed 15 U.S. presidents being sworn into office, in addition to the two separate jurisdictions responsible for the making of a sewer and a bridge.

I am now resigned to avoid getting my “shirttail in a knot,” sit back, relax and watch all three of these dramas play out for however long it may take. Graeme Roberts Brentwood Bay
