4 rescues part of busy weekend for B.C. search crews
Bad weather and a high risk of avalanches complicated weekend rescue efforts for a half dozen snowmobilers and skiers in B.C.
Fernie Search and Rescue members spent 36 hours searching for two missing skiers who were found in good condition Sunday night in B.C.’s southeastern corner.
Two snowmobilers had to be winched aboard waiting helicopters to be taken to hospital after suffering injuries Sunday in separate incidents north of Kamloops and near Enderby.
And another pair of snowmobilers was found Sunday by South Cariboo Search and Rescue after spending the night on Mica Mountain near 100 Mile House.
