Making a difference:

CRD Victoria family court and youth justice committee, Langford protective services committee, Literacy Connection West Shore’s literacy steering committee, Federation of Community Social Services of B.C. Chair of: UVic Centre for Youth and Society, West Shore Family Strategy Group, South Island Training Initiative, Sooke Co-operative Associatio­n of Service Agencies and co-chair of West Shore Child and Youth Mental Health Local Action Team. Served more than 1,000 people every year for 10 years, advocating on behalf of the community and building a partnershi­p to create 104 units of affordable housing.

Main issue:

Affordabil­ity. “Every day, I have been fighting for social justice on the West Shore.”

Inspiratio­n:

“My daughter has been a positive influence in my life. I am doing this for her and for future British Columbians.”
