Point Ellis House: Volunteers wanted for Point Ellice House for painting small furniture items, use of truck or car to haul larger items, tea service to and from the garden, and Tour Guides for the Historic House and Gardens. Sendial Volunteer Shopping Program (Thrifty Foods): This program does the shopping for customers who, because of injury, frailty or other physical reason, can’t easily shop independen­tly. Seeking kind and caring phoning volunteers — Tuscany Village location. Customers are called weekly to complete grocery orders.

The First Open Heart Society of B.C.: The Society is a non-profit organizati­on whose objectives include providing support for open heart/cardiovasc­ular patients and their families, children with heartrelat­ed problems, and the operation of the Victoria Heart House. Two volunteer opportunit­ies are available: Board Directors needed. No previous experience required, just a genuine interest in our objectives. The board meets monthly. Also, seeking past patients as volunteers who are willing to visit with current patients to offer support and encouragem­ent. Training provided.
