MAKING ART ACCESSIBLE

-

The Sooke Fine Arts Show (SFAS), established in 1986, is Vancouver Island’s longest running juried art show representing artists from all of B.C.’s coastal islands. For over 30 years, the SFAS has made an unparalleled contribution to celebrating B.C. artists, and has been an important influence in establishing Sooke as a focal point for arts and culture.

The SFAS presents world-class exhibitions that educate and inspire audiences and artists of all ages while fostering the development of artistic youth, providing opportunities for education, support and a place for young artists to showcase their talents.

As a non-profit, the Sooke Fine Arts Society is challenged with creating programming that appeals to all audiences, supporting artists of all ages, and attracting and stimulating over 300 volunteers, with a constant need for fund-raising and reliance on grants and sponsorships.

The Sooke Fine Arts Society has a Gift Acceptance Policy that allows for acceptance of bequests, donations and gifts-in-kind – designed to help the Society fulfill its mission of making art accessible to a wide demographic.

The Society’s strategic plan places priority on building collaboration to integrate the arts into everyday life and seeking permanent space for exhibitions, workshops and after-school arts programs. Phone: 250-642-7256 Email: sfas@sookefinearts.com sookefinearts.com
