Palm Court Orchestra APRIL SHOWERS Thursday, April 5, 2 p.m. Mary Winspear Centre
The Palm Court Orchestra numbers 26 professional musicians who are all members of the Victoria Musicians’ Association, CFM Local 247. The Palm Court Orchestra performs with Rebecca Hass, mezzo soprano. Rebecca is a regular contributor to CBC Radio 1 (NXNW, Tapestry, The Sunday Edition) and has been the guest host of Saturday Afternoon at the Opera on CBC Radio 2. A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, Rebecca has performed with the Victoria Symphony, Pacific Opera Victoria and the Toronto production of Phantom of the Opera. Rebecca will perform three Richard Rodger’s songs: With a Song In My Heart, Bewitched Bothered & Bewildered, and When I Marry Mr. Snow. The orchestra will perform selections from Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Mikado and Jules Styne’s Funny Girl.
