Roy­als to play five pre-sea­son games

The Vic­to­ria Roy­als will play five Western Hockey League pre-sea­son games, all on the road, ahead of the 2018-19 reg­u­lar sea­son.

Vic­to­ria will play each op­po­nent from the B.C. Di­vi­sion once, along with the Everett Sil­ver­tips from the U.S. Di­vi­sion.

Vic­to­ria will open its pre-sea­son Aug. 31 against the Kelowna Rock­ets at Pros­pera Place in the Okana­gan. The Roy­als will then face the Kam­loops Blaz­ers on Sept. 1 at the Sand­man Cen­tre.

The Roy­als con­clude their pre-sea­son the fol­low­ing week­end when they face the Van­cou­ver Gi­ants, Everett and the Prince Ge­orge Cougars as part of the Gi­ants’ pre-sea­son tour­na­ment at the Lan­g­ley Events Cen­tre. Vic­to­ria will play Van­cou­ver on Sept. 7. The Roy­als will then bat­tle the Sil­ver­tips on Sept. 8 and the Cougars on Sept. 9.

The reg­u­lar-sea­son sched­ule is ex­pected to be un­veiled in late June.
