Royals to play five pre-season games

-

The Victoria Royals will play five Western Hockey League pre-season games, all on the road, ahead of the 2018-19 regular season.

Victoria will play each opponent from the B.C. Division once, along with the Everett Silvertips from the U.S. Division.

Victoria will open its pre-season Aug. 31 against the Kelowna Rockets at Prospera Place in the Okanagan. The Royals will then face the Kamloops Blazers on Sept. 1 at the Sandman Centre.

The Royals conclude their pre-season the following weekend when they face the Vancouver Giants, Everett and the Prince George Cougars as part of the Giants’ pre-season tournament at the Langley Events Centre. Victoria will play Vancouver on Sept. 7. The Royals will then battle the Silvertips on Sept. 8 and the Cougars on Sept. 9.

The regular-season schedule is expected to be unveiled in late June.
