LifeCycles.
For 20 years, the LifeCycles Fruit Tree Project has facilitated the picking of backyard fruit and its distribution in the community. Chrysanthemum meeting.
The Victoria Chrysanthemum Society will meet on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 2 p.m., 1647 Chandler Ave. The meeting will feature a parlour show.
Plant sale.
The Horticulture Centre of the Pacific, 505 Quayle Rd. in Saanich, is holding a fall plant sale on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will feature unusual plants propagated from the HCP gardens. The cost of all plants will be reduced by 25 per cent. Hardy fuchsias and lilies will be sold two for the price of one. Admission to the gardens is free during the sale. Volunteers and staff will be available to help and answer questions.
Houseplant care.
The Horticulture Centre of the Pacific is offering Houseplant Care 101, a hands-on workshop covering all aspects of nurturing various types of house plants, on Sunday, Sept. 23 from 1 to 3 p.m. Participants will receive a copy of Houseplants 101 and a succulent to choose, pot and take home.
