B.C. Fer­ries’ Vic­to­ria-Van­cou­ver traf­fic ex­pected to be heavy through Tues­day

Mo­torists on B.C. Fer­ries’ Vic­to­ri­aVan­cou­ver route faced two- and three­sail­ing waits on Fri­day with peo­ple on the move for the Re­mem­brance Day long week­end.

Trav­ellers be­tween Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen in both direc­tions faced a three-sail­ing wait Fri­day af­ter­noon, which was re­duced to a two-sail­ing wait by 6:30 p.m.

B.C. Fer­ries warned trav­ellers that long­week­end travel is ex­pected to be heavy through Tues­day.

Ferry traf­fic is fore­cast to be “busy” to­day out of Tsawwassen from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and be­tween 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. out of Swartz Bay.

Re­mem­brance Day Sun­day is fore­cast to be “busy” on sail­ings be­tween 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Swartz Bay.

On Mon­day, ferry traf­fic is pro­jected to be “very busy” from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. out of Tsawwassen and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. out of Swartz Bay.

Fer­ries are ex­pected to be “busy” on Tues­day from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. out of Tsawwassen and be­tween 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. out of Swartz Bay.
