Julie Chen ‘excited’ to return to Big Brother after husband Les Moonves’ CBS ouster
Julie Chen is getting back to work.
The TV host shared a picture of herself looking happy as can be on the set of Big Brother: Celebrity Edition, which airs on CBS, the network her husband, Les Moonves, was ousted from in the wake of sexual-misconduct allegations.
“So excited to be back on this stage,” Chen captioned the Instagram post Thursday. “Who else is ready for the second season of #BBCeleb?! Double Tap if you’re counting down to the première on Monday, Jan. 21!”
Chen, 49, was famously supportive of Moonves, 69, when he resigned from CBS in early September over multiple allegations of sexual misconduct and intimidation. In a show of solidarity days after his exit, Chen ended an episode of Big Brother by saying, “I’m Julie Chen Moonves. Good night.”
CBS announced in November that Chen would return to host the reality competition, but the same could not be said for daytime show The Talk.
After taking a leave of absence from Talk, which she had hosted since its 2009 inception, Chen announced in mid-September that she would be quitting the show. Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba officially replaced Chen last week as the new co-host, alongside Eve, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood.
