Developer added to ferry board
British Columbia Ferry Services has named David Podmore to its board of directors.
Podmore, chairman of Concert Real Estate Corporation and chief executive of Concert Infrastructure, is well versed in the development of residential real estate and public infrastructure projects in Canada.
He played a key role in the development of plans for Vancouver’s bid to host the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The board has also re-elected Bruce Chan and P. Geoffrey Plant to serve as directors for a further term.
“Strong leadership at the board level ensures B.C. Ferries continues to deliver world-class ferry service with a focus on excellent financial results and forward-thinking project management,” said board chair Yuri Fulmer.
