Developer added to ferry board

British Columbia Ferry Services has named David Podmore to its board of directors.

Podmore, chairman of Concert Real Estate Corporatio­n and chief executive of Concert Infrastruc­ture, is well versed in the developmen­t of residentia­l real estate and public infrastruc­ture projects in Canada.

He played a key role in the developmen­t of plans for Vancouver’s bid to host the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The board has also re-elected Bruce Chan and P. Geoffrey Plant to serve as directors for a further term.

“Strong leadership at the board level ensures B.C. Ferries continues to deliver world-class ferry service with a focus on excellent financial results and forward-thinking project management,” said board chair Yuri Fulmer.
