The federal government says it decides to strip someone’s citizenshi­p only when there is evidence it was obtained through false representa­tion, fraud or knowingly concealing relevant circumstan­ces. The number of Canadian citizenshi­p revocation­s in the past three fiscal years, beginning in April:

• April 1 to May 7, 2019: 7

• 2018-2019: 0

• 2017-2018: 10

• Total: 17
