Community Social Planning Council of Greater Victoria: Point in Time Survey Volunteer — Point In Time Homelessness Survey 2020. The PiT Count involves conducting a brief, anonymous survey with people who are experiencing homelessness. Survey volunteers work in assigned teams under the leadership of someone with experience in the field. Volunteers need to be fluent in English or French. Fluency in other languages is an asset. The count is conducted indoors in shelters and also outdoors in specific areas or neighbourhoods. A large number of volunteers are needed to survey between 5:00 pm and 11:00 pm on March 12, 2020. Lifetime Networks is seeking a volunteer to build a friendship with a man with autism in his 40s. He is a coffee connoisseur and a foodie, and he is looking for a friend who shares his love of computer programming. John Howard Society of Victoria — KidStart Program: Volunteer Mentor for At-Risk Youth (Especially those male-identifying). KidStart is a volunteer mentor program for kids age six-17 who have been impacted by the justice system. Mentors and their assigned kid engage in fun activities once a week.
