Two sought in break-in at Tim Hortons

-

Nanaimo RCMP are looking for a pair of suspects in a Christmas Day break-in at a Tim Hortons.

The break-in at the 15 Wallace St. site took place between 6:50 and 7 a.m., police said. The thieves pried the drive-through window open to get inside.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the tills. A silver safe was also stolen.

Images from surveillance video show two people entering the parking lot, with both making efforts to conceal their faces.

One suspect was wearing a black jacket with a checkered hoodie underneath, blue jeans and black runners with a white stripe. The other was dressed in dark clothing and later put on a highvisibility vest he found inside the business.

Police ask anyone with information to call Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345.
