The Cancer DriveLine Society is a non-profit registered charity that is 100% volunteer run. We provide free transport for anyone in lower Vancouver Island Sidney to Sooke who needs a ride for any cancer-related medical appointment. We recently lost our media and marketing board member and are eagerly seeking someone who is organized and enthusiastic and has some interest/experience in fundraising. This person would volunteer from home, write the occasional press release, develop a network of funding organizations and submit applications for funding. If you have an interest our Facebook page and Instagram hopping, you could do that to. Time requirement would be whatever you could manage from home to keep our fundraising going. RAVEN seeks a treasurer to serve on its volunteer board of directors. Our ideal candidate lives in the southern Vancouver Island area, holds a CPA or CA designation and is excited to join in our work to put reconciliation into action. RAVEN raises legal defecse funds to assist Indigenous Nations that choose to enforce their rights to protect their traditional territories. Our governance board meets every two months. Leadership Victoria is looking for a volunteer Newspaper Editor. We are looking for an experienced writer with creativity to put together a regular newsletter “with sparkle” for Leadership Victoria. You would pull information from a variety of sources to highlight our leadership events, our Leadership Development Program students and achievements, workshops, volunteers and leadership buzz around town. You get to design the layout, content and put your own ideas to work. Include an example of newsletters or other publications you have experience with. Services include: problem solving, system navigation and information and referral support.
