When a building in the Heights that is designated for low-income housing suddenly goes on the market for a major corporatio­n, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) recruits Orlando (guest star Jhaleil Swaby) to help her convince the city to halt the prospectiv­e sale in the new episode “Still I Rise.” Her plans go awry, though, when Nyxly (Peta Sergeant) shows up. Elsewhere, Nia (Nicole Maines) trains with her mother (guest star Kate Burton).

Road trip! In the new episode “Vaxed and Waxed,” after extended time alone due to the pandemic, Whitney and Ashley pack up the car and head to Georgia for a retreat that caters to “big girls.” Later, with internatio­nal travel restrictio­ns beginning to ease, Whitney wonders if her virtual relationsh­ip will finally become a reality or if her Frenchman will say au revoir.

The U.S. response to that horrifying day not only transforme­d the Middle East, but America itself, and in very fundamenta­l respects. As the 20th anniversar­y of those attacks approaches, this special episode looks at how 9/11 affected actions by four U.S. presidents.

Ominous weather patterns over Blue Valley hint at the imminent approach of Eclipso, but Pat and Courtney (Luke Wilson, Brec Bassinger) can’t agree on the best way to search for him in the new episode “Summer School: Chapter Five.” Elsewhere, Cameron (Hunter Sansone) opens up to Courtney, while Cindy’s (Meg DeLacy) plan to recruit another student takes a surprising turn.
