Just as it starts to seem as if matters couldn’t get any worse, Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) yet again is in danger of being exposed as some of Gotham’s nastiest villains team up in the new episode “Broken Toys.” While the wily Alice (Rachel Skarsten) tries to get inside Mary’s (Nicole Kang) head, Nicole (Meagan Tandy) joins Luke (Camrus Johnson, who also directed this episode) on a mission of their own. Robin Givens and Nick Creegan also star.

6 p.m. on (87) (19) NOVA.

Starting several years ago, people living in a remote section of the Arctic began coming across baffling formations: specifical­ly, gaping holes in the ground, one of them deep enough to swallow a 15-story building. This long-running science and nature docuseries launches its 49th season with “Arctic Sinkholes,” in which teams of scientists travel to Alaska, Canada and Siberia in search of insights into this bizarre phenomenon and the implicatio­ns it may have for the planet.

8 p.m. on (8) (14) Big Brother: Celebrity Edition.

Julie Chen Moonves returns as host for this third round of its celebrity-driven edition, of one of the network’s biggest reality show hits. This season’s three-week run comprises 15 episodes (two more than Seasons 1 and 2), culminatin­g in a finale on Wednesday, Feb. 23. Among this season’s featured Houseguest­s are singer-songwriter­s Ne-Yo and Todrick Hall, fitness expert Jillian Michaels, former Trump White House communicat­ions director Hope Hicks, drag personalit­y Shangela, former pro basketball star Lamar Odom and celebrity chef Curtis Stone.

8 p.m. on (52) (60) DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Aided by someone unexpected, the Legends hatch a scheme to draw the attention of the Evil Waverider in the new episode “Rage Against the Machines.” Elsewhere, after discoverin­g who has been hunting the heroes, Sara (Caity Lotz) tries to negotiate, while Gwyn (Matt Ryan), who seems to be running out of options, draws on his military experience to devise a stealth plan. Meanwhile, Gary (Adam Tsekhman) helps Astra (Olivia Swann) realize she is sidelining Gideon (Amy Pemberton) from the mission.

8:30 p.m. on (9) (16) The Wonder Years.

Dean’s (Elisha Williams) plans to ask Keisa (Milan Ray) to “The Valentine’s Day Dance” (also the title of this new episode) are foiled when another boy asks her out first, after a new makeover transforms her into the talk of the school. Meanwhile, recognizin­g that Kim’s ( Laura Kariuki) college applicatio­n is soft on extracurri­cular activities, Bill and Linda (Dulé Hill, Saycon Sengbloh) make their daughter sign up for a Big Sister program.

10 p.m. on (8) (14) Good Sam.

When a patient with a serious gunshot wound is wheeled into the emergency room, it triggers a series of flashbacks to the moments immediatel­y before Griff’s (Jason Isaacs) own shooting, and the six months after that near-fatal incident, in the new episode “Wake Up.” As the drama unfolds, it sheds new light on how the violent attack affected the people Griff effectivel­y left behind during his extended period in a coma. Sophia Bush, Michael StahlDavid, Skye P. Marshall and Sendhil Ramamurthy also star.
