“Movie: Nightmare Alley”

From Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro (“The Shape of Water”) comes this 2021 crime drama that stars Bradley Cooper as Stanton Carlisle, a con man who hatches a plan to bilk a tycoon with the help of a mysterious psychiatrist, who may turn out to be his most formidable opponent yet. Rooney Mara, Cate Blanchett, Ron Perlman and Toni Collette are also in the talented cast.

Set in 2045 in a world where artificial dominates everyday life, this film comedy from France and director Jean-Pierre Jeunet (“Amelie,” “Micmacs”) follows four bickering suburbanites who find themselves stuck together when their androids take them captive in their home.
