-

Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 45-year-old Laura Huebner, who was last seen at Victoria International Airport.

Huebner’s family reported her missing to the Sidney RCMP, which confirmed that Huebner had arrived on a flight from Saskatchewan on April 24. Later that day, she is believed to have travelled to Nanaimo. There have been no other con- firmed sightings of Huebner. “As a result, her family is con- cerned for her safety and well-being,” RCMP said in a statement.

The missing person investigation that was opened by the Sidney RCMP has been turned over to the Nanaimo RCMP.

Huebner is white, five-foot-eight and 140 pounds and the photo provided is recent, police say. She was last seen wearing a white jacket, white hoodie and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on Huebner is asked call the Nanaimo RCMP nonemergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file No. 2022-14432.
