The eight remaining young chefs split into teams for a cakes and cookies competition in “Junior Edition: The Big Bake Sale.” Host Gordon Ramsay and fellow judges Daphne Oz and Aarón Sánchez evaluate the sweet treats on display for their flavor and presentation. Things won’t end on a sweet note for one member of the losing team, though, who will be sent home.

The family starts getting seriously concerned when the normally responsible Al (Adhir Kalyan) starts blowing off classes and assignments so he can spend more time with Cindy (guest star Jayma Mays) in the new episode “Desire/ Khwast.” Meanwhile, Riley (Parker Young) is pretty sure he and Vanessa (Kelli Goss) won’t be able to keep their relationship a secret much longer. The prickly mentor-protegée relationship between veteran Las Vegas comic Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and her young, headstrong writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) continues to evolve as the pair travel across the U.S. so Deborah can workshop her edgy new stand-up act as this critically acclaimed comedy returns for Season 2. Joining Smart — who won just about every available award for her performance in Season 1 — for these new episodes are recurring players Laurie Metcalf, Ming-Na Wen and Susie Essman.
