Auxiliary is seeking volunteers to work in the Gift Shop at VGH as well as assist with various other fundraisers. Auxiliary volunteers raise much-needed funds to purchase equipment and amenities for patients, their families and staff at VGH. No prior experience is necessary to work in the gift shop, and orientation will be provided. Scheduling is flexible and a minimum one year commitment is required. The Soup Kitchen is looking for volunteer cooks. Operating in the basement of St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Victoria, we are looking for morning cooks to prepare our nutritious soup, in a 70-litre commercial kettle for up to 200 diners. This can be a one or two person job. Hours are 4 am to 6 am. Duties include making the soup with precut ingredients and cleanup. Onsite training is provided. Keen to learn more?
