Lifetime Networks is looking for a reliable and responsibl­e volunteer to help a middle-aged male participan­t be active in the community. The volunteer needs to be a leader in making plans together. This man would enjoy going to the movies, library, arcade, and to do volunteer work together. He would love to meet someone who owns a dog. He lives downtown and travels by bus. The Victoria General Hospital

Auxiliary is seeking volunteers to work in the Gift Shop at VGH as well as assist with various other fundraiser­s. Auxiliary volunteers raise much-needed funds to purchase equipment and amenities for patients, their families and staff at VGH. No prior experience is necessary to work in the gift shop, and orientatio­n will be provided. Scheduling is flexible and a minimum one year commitment is required. Associatio­n is seeking volunteers for two positions: Website Content Editor and Sponsorshi­p Coordinato­r. We manage three publicly accessible dirtbike riding areas on the Island and run an off-road dirtbike race series. The Soup Kitchen is looking for volunteer cooks. Operating in the basement of St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Victoria, we are looking for morning cooks to prepare our nutritious soup, in a 70-litre commercial kettle for up to 200 diners. This can be a one or two person job. Hours are 4 am to 6 am. Duties include making the soup with precut ingredient­s and cleanup. Onsite training is provided. Keen to learn more?
