(Thrifty Foods): This program shops for customers who cannot easily shop independen­tly. Seeking a kind and caring volunteer to phone customers and take orders on Wednesday mornings for James Bay. Orders are taken from home, then dropped off or emailed to the store. Attention to detail is required and grocery product knowledge is an asset. Orientatio­n and training is provided. The Mustard Seed is looking for Volunteer Truck Drivers! Do you hold a Class 5 driver’s licence and have a passion for making a difference? We need your help to end food insecurity in Greater Victoria! Our casual positions offer 5 or 6-hour shifts starting at 7 a.m. We provide 2-3 weeks of training to ensure you’re confident and prepared to hit the road. You’ll help load and unload trucks, so be prepared for some lifting. The Victoria Target Theatre Society

is seeking new board members. The Society provides educationa­l and entertaini­ng live theatre for and about issues relevant to seniors, using volunteer actors who are 55 plus. We perform mainly in senior’s residences and community centres. We seek volunteer board members who are passionate about theatre and serving the senior population of Victoria. The board has several positions open, including treasurer and secretary. The board meets once per month (during the day) by Zoom. We are a small society and board, so each member is expected to do some committee work, with summers off. ElderDog Canada

is looking for a ‘dog person’ who cares about seniors and their pets, to be our new Foster and Rehoming Coordinato­r on the Saanich Peninsula. Operating entirely through dedicated volunteers, ElderDog Canada supports seniors who are experienci­ng challenges affecting dog care. Sometimes a dog needs foster care while their senior faces a short-term challenge. And sometimes a dog needs a new forever home due to their human’s residence change or death.
