Lifetime Networks is looking for a reliable and responsible volunteer to help a middle-aged male participant be active in the community. The volunteer needs to be a leader in making plans together. This man would enjoy going to the movies, library, arcade, and to do volunteer work together. He would love to meet someone who owns a dog. He lives downtown and travels by bus. Soap for Hope Canada is looking for thrift shopper enthusiasts to volunteer for four-hour shifts once a week at Second Hand Hope, their thrift store where the inventory comes exclusively from lost and found items from hotels. The James Bay Market operates, rain or shine, every Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 4 to Oct. 5 from the corner of Menzies and Superior in James Bay. We are an outdoor market where interesting farmers, food producers, vendors, crafters and customers all come together in the spirit of community. Currently, we are recruiting for several volunteer positions all designed to help make the weekly market a super success. Market Set-up Assistants; Tear-Down Assistants; Front and Exit Greeters and Coffee and Info Kiosk volunteers are all needed. Shift times vary between 7:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. depending on your volunteer role. The Vic West Community Association is seeking volunteers to support our annual Vic West Fest on June 8 in the beautiful Banfield Park. There are various roles available. The Mustard Seed is looking for Volunteer Truck Drivers! Do you hold a Class 5 driver’s licence and have a passion for making a difference? We need your help to end food insecurity in Greater Victoria! Our positions offer five- or sixhour shifts starting at 7 a.m. We provide two to three weeks of training to ensure you’re confident and prepared to hit the road. You’ll help load and unload trucks, so be prepared for some lifting.
