Canadian Mental Health Association each year in Victoria delivers the Ride Don’t Hide special event. This year it will take place on Sunday, June 9, at Windsor Park. We rely on volunteers to keep the day’s event running smoothly and there are a wide range of fun volunteer positions available — water station support, set up crew, traffic control, etc. Enjoy free food, music and prizes for all volunteers in attendance — plus you are supporting a great cause. The James Bay Market operates, rain or shine, every Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 4 to Oct. 5 from the corner of Menzies and Superior in James Bay. We are an outdoor market where interesting farmers, food producers, vendors, crafters and customers all come together in the spirit of community. Currently we are recruiting for several volunteer positions all designed to help make the weekly market a super success. Market Set-up Assistants; Tear-down Assistants; Front and Exit Greeters and Coffee and Info Kiosk volunteers are all needed.
