The GTA’s Newest Fancy Food Market
Upper Canada and Toronto Life hosted an exclusive dinner at Market & Co., a 40,000-squarefoot gourmet food market
Last month, Toronto Life and Market & Co., Upper Canada’s massive new food market, hosted a one-of-a-kind night. After arriving in style (Limos! Champagne!), the guests made their way to Kitchen & Co., the market’s demo kitchen, for welcome cocktails, cheese and charcuterie from MidiCi the Neapolitan Pizza Company and freshly shucked oysters from Pier 87 Fish Market & Grill. And that was just the beginning: what followed was a veritable landslide of delicious dishes from Market & Co.’s restaurants and merchants, each paired with wine from The Wine Shop & Tasting Room. After dinner, the group took a much-needed post-prandial stroll and toured the 20-merchant market before settling back down for a dessert of macarons, deconstructed cupcakes and ice wine. At the end of the evening, the full and happy crew stuffed themselves back into their rides (More champagne!), where they found swag bags chock full of fun surprises.
