Aurora, which controls 4.5 million square feet of production space, will soon be able to produce 570,000 kilograms of weed per year, thanks in part to its acquisition of rival MedReleaf in July.

Gertner quit his job at Google to found the upscale weed paraphernalia shop, Tokyo Smoke. In 2018, Canopy bought the brand’s parent company, Hiku, for an all-stock deal reportedly valued at $270 million.

The former EVP of Rethink Breast Cancer was appointed CEO of 48North in May 2017. She now commands 40,000 square feet of licensed grow space, with an annual production capacity of 2,500 kilograms.
