TRANSPORTA­TION $80 a month, for Uber. “Walking is usually how I get around, but I’ll Uber if I’m out later than expected.”

HOME OFFICE EQUIPMENT $1,000, for a desk, rug and chair. “I set up a home office in my spare room during lockdown.”

BOOKS $500, from Indigo. “I bought 15 books, everything from Black Writers Matter to The Color of Water.”

FOOT BATH $200, from Amazon.
