Alberta not fazed by liberal influx

-

Re Political outlook will be changed Letter, Sept. 8.

I would like to assure letter writer Gregg Hill that the possible effects of the migration of large numbers of mainly lib- left Canadians to Alberta has not gone unnoticed. Keep in mind that we have been experiencing this for some time now. Where do you think the infinitesimal increases in support for the Liberals and their bogus policies is coming from? It is just not the issue Hill is hoping for. What we are finding is one of two things happen to the majority of these economic migrants when they get away from the media bias and closedminded bigotry of the rest of Canada. They come here and buy into the Alberta identity or they scurry back to whatever little socialist niche it was they came from. “Alberta neo-cons” are not concerned about the lib- left. It is the lib- left that should be concerned, as it is their beliefs that are failing when removed from their sheltered little world. Darren Cameron, Calgary, Alta.
