Cabbagetown Doors: Continuing through to the end of this month are works by Cabbagetown artist Kevin McEvenue on display at the PearTree Restaurant, 507 Parliament St., Toronto (Parliament & Carlton). McEvenue captures the feel of the Victorian neighbourhood through a collection of doorways painted in acrylic. Ten paintings of double doorways capture the contrast and quirkiness of semi-detached house-proud Cabbagetowners. Ten paintings of doors from detached homes also tell the story of the Cabbagetown historic district where many homes date back to the 1800s. Contact Kevin McEvenue at mcevenue@ica. or 416-324-9676.
