Indignation ironic from Newman

Re Peter Newman’s week from Hell Nov. 27. So Peter C. Newman is unhappy because the recent CBC documentary, The Secret Mulroney Tapes, portrayed the author as “ a toady, agreeing with his every syllable.” I watched all two hours of that program and I agree that was the overwhelming impression that I was left with, however, that impression came from Newman’s own words, as spoken by him.

I find this indignation ironic, coming from an author whose recent literary output consists largely of fawning portraits of Canada’s corporate elite. Derek Boles, Toronto
