Hope Canada turns down Black

Re Black wants citizenship back Nov. 25. My family came to Canada more than a decade ago as refugees from the first Gulf War. Since then, I have truly understood how fortunate I am to live in Canada.

I try never to take anything for granted, especially regarding my citizenship. When I read about Conrad Black wanting his citizenship back after renouncing it and calling it an “ impediment,” I had feelings of disgust and anger. My citizenship of this great country is worth more than any monetary value, and I hope Canada boldy denies Black’s pathetic request. Zolfakar Al-Mousawy, Richmond Hill
