Prosperity gap revised

Last Friday’s story about the report from the Task Force on Competitiv­eness, Productivi­ty and Economic Activity did not account for revisions in historical calculatio­ns of gross domestic product by U. S. government agencies. The revised figure for Ontario’s 2003 GDP per capita is $ 5,200 less than the median of its peer group — Quebec and 14 U. S. states.

Ontario’s 2004 per capita GDP was, as stated in the article, $ 6,000 less than the peer median.
