Toronto Star

Siblings, nuts, zombies

-

It’s an eclectic night, starting on CBC at 8 with the wonderful This Is Wonderland, tonight exploring the legal themes of sibling loyalty, delusional nut allergy and a homeless wannabe zombie.

Global caps the night at 10 with the Tragically Hip concert That Night in Toronto, taped at the ACC. Those of you who are dismayed by the finale tonight of America’s Top Model ( UPN and Citytv at 8), take comfort in the early preparations for an imminent all- Canadian version to be hosted by geek postergirl Tricia Helfer. ALSO: Elsewhere, there’s a Very Special Christmas Episode of . . . E- Ring?! I’m guessing Santa gets shot down over Afghanistan ( NBC and Global at 8 p. m.).

I haven’t been watching much of Lost lately, so I can’t begin to imagine how they managed to cram the big fella down through that teeny little hatchway . . . but apparently Hurley has a job to do down below, while Sawyer, Michael and Jin identify their captors, and Claire uncovers something startling about the fate of the raft ( ABC and CTV at 9). FLICKS: Movies tonight include the concluding half of the Jon Voight Pope John Paul II biopic ( CBS and CH at 8); and CBC has Edward Fox in the Fred Zinnemann assassin classic, Day of the Jackal, at 12: 25. TALK: Leno at 11: 35: Tommy Lee Jones, Sarah Silverman and Diana Krall; Letterman at 11: 35: Catherine Zeta- Jones; Kimmel at 12: 05: Paula Abdul; Conan at 12: 35: Lindsay Lohan; Ferguson at 12: 35: John Malkovich and Dave Foley.
