House fires kill one, leave family homeless
Two blazes in the Ottawa Valley have claimed one life and left a family homeless. Investigators found a body in a burned-out home in Renfrew after a blaze Friday. While police haven’t released the name of the victim, they say the 51-year-old resident of the home has been reported missing. Officers say an autopsy will be needed to identify the body and exactly how the person died. In another incident, a family has lost their home after a fire ripped through their house south of Pembroke Saturday. No one was home when the blaze started. Police say it caused about $250,000 in damage.
